The Psalms of the Saviour originated in a study that Dr. Bridges called The Song of the Resurrection. The study referenced quotations in the New Testament and ignited a series of studies in the Psalms. The central thought of the series was the Psalms which revealed something about the Saviour. Hebrew Scholars called them the “Messianic Psalms” because they referred to the Messiah. Some were called “Messianic” because of their quotation by New Testament writers.
